Workers’ Compensation

On the job injuries and illnesses can and do occur. To assist employees with the cost of medical care and continuation of pay when off work the Department of Commerce participates in the Federal Workers’ Compensation Program run by the Department of Labor. This program is managed by the Workers’ Compensation Branch with-in the Office of Occupational Safety and Health.
